Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 November 2026

This page explains what personal information the site collects, why, where it goes, who else may see it, and how you can use your rights under New Zealand privacy law. The technical companion (cookies, analytics, browser storage) is on the Cookie Policy page.

This is an independent informational site about Mr Fortune Casino; the broader context is on the About page. This policy applies only to this website. Once you click through to Mr Fortune, the operator's own privacy policy applies, and this site does not pass your personal information to the operator.

1. What this site is

This site publishes an analysis of Mr Fortune Casino for New Zealand readers; the main page is the Mr Fortune homepage. The site does not host games, run accounts, take deposits, hold funds or process withdrawals. There is no sign-up and no login. A normal visit involves no data exchange beyond standard web traffic. The analysis is written by our casino analyst Felix Carter.

2. New Zealand privacy law

Personal information is handled in line with the Privacy Act 2020 and its Information Privacy Principles, overseen by the Office of the Privacy Commissioner. Visitors from other countries keep any additional rights their own law gives them, and where a stricter rule applies, the stricter rule wins.

This site does not collect payment data, Mr Fortune account credentials, biometric data, precise location or sensitive personal information. No targeted advertising or remarketing is used; the funding model is on the Affiliate Disclosure page.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

The cookies this site uses and your controls are described on the Cookie Policy page. In short: strictly necessary cookies are always set; analytics and affiliate-tracking cookies are set only with your consent.

5. Affiliate links and operator-side tracking

When you click an outbound Mr Fortune link, three things happen. First, a redirect at /go records the click for our own statistics. Second, your browser is forwarded to the Mr Fortune site. Third, the operator may set its own cookies and treat the visit as a referral. This site does not pass your name, email or any identifying information to the operator. If you register an account, that registration is covered by the operator's own privacy policy.

6. How long data is kept

7. Who this site shares data with

Service providers that run parts of the site (hosting, content delivery, email) may process data on our behalf only to deliver that service. Analytics providers receive anonymised traffic data only. Authorities receive data only in response to a valid legal request, and only what the request covers. This site does not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

8. Where data is stored

Some service providers may store or process data outside New Zealand. When personal information is sent overseas, we rely on providers that protect it in a way comparable to the Privacy Act 2020, as Information Privacy Principle 12 requires.

9. Your rights

To use any of these rights, write in through the Contact page. We aim to respond within 20 working days, in line with the Privacy Act 2020.

10. Children's privacy

This site covers an 18+ product and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors, and any such information is deleted once we become aware of it.

11. Security

This site uses standard safeguards: encrypted connections (TLS) for all traffic, access controls and least-privilege rules, and logging of administrative actions. No system is perfectly secure; if a privacy breach is likely to cause serious harm, affected people and the Privacy Commissioner are notified as the Privacy Act 2020 requires.

12. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date changes too. Material changes (new data categories, new processors, different retention periods) are flagged on the homepage for at least 30 days.

13. Contact

For privacy questions, use the Contact page. Content corrections follow the Editorial Policy. Player-safety guidance is on the Responsible Gambling page.
