Cookie Policy

Last updated: 5 November 2026

Below is an account of the cookies and similar technologies this site uses, what each one does, how long it stays on your device, and how you control it. Personal-information handling is covered on the Privacy Policy page; this is the technical companion. The site is described on the About page, with the operator analysis on the Mr Fortune homepage.

1. What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. When you return, the browser sends it back so the site can recognise the visit, keep a setting or measure traffic. Cookies cannot run code or read other files on your device. Other browser storage (localStorage, sessionStorage) works in a similar way, and on this page "cookie" covers all of them.

2. Categories of cookies used on this site

This site does not use advertising or remarketing cookies, on-site display ads or cross-site tracking pixels. The funding model is on the Affiliate Disclosure page.

3. Specific cookies and lifetimes

Third-party policy: Google Privacy & Terms covers Google Analytics. Mr Fortune sets its own cookies once you click through, under its own privacy policy.

4. How to control cookies in your browser

All modern browsers let you block cookies, clear stored ones or refuse third-party cookies:

Private or incognito browsing also stops cookies carrying over between sessions.

5. If you decline non-essential cookies

The site keeps working normally. You can read every page and click through to Mr Fortune. Your visit simply won't be counted in traffic statistics, an affiliate click cannot be credited (the operator treats you exactly the same), and the banner will reappear if you clear your cookies. Editorial standards are on the Editorial Policy page, and player-safety commitments on the Responsible Gambling page.

6. Global Privacy Control

This site honours the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal: if your browser sends it, non-essential cookies are blocked automatically. The older Do Not Track header has no agreed standard and is not relied on.

7. Updates to this policy

When the cookies in use change, this page and its "Last updated" date are revised. New categories or new third parties trigger a fresh consent prompt.

8. Questions and complaints

Cookie questions can be sent through the Contact page, and questions about the casino analysis itself go to our analyst Felix Carter through the same channel. Complaints under the Privacy Act 2020 can be taken to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
